Linlithgow Palace

We took the bus to Waverley station, then took a train to Linlithgow Palace, one of the principal residences of the monarchs of Scotland in the 15th and 16th centuries. Today was a great day to go because they had jousting and other medieval-type demonstrations, which was not a normal feature at this palace.

Bella finally got to ride on a train (the London underground doesn't count)

 'Atsa big fireplace

Sofia finally got her latrine shot

Every view from the palace looked like a postcard

We watched a bit of the falcon demonstration from a "balcony"

 Jousting!

One of the tents let kids write with ink and quill. Then a professional wrote the kids' names on a bookmark.

We stopped at Lidl on the way home and got some things for dinner. Steve made homemade pizza for dinner (and homemade chips). He even makes his own pizza crust from scratch. I've got to step up my game at home.

Bella was so excited to press the "stop" button on the bus
