It's getting less and less fun to pack up with every additional stay. Part of it is just packing fatigue. It's a pain to load up all our clothes into the Space Bags (the giant zip lock bags that you vacuum all the air out of to make the most space possible). We could not have all the clothes we have with us without the Space Bags, but I'm really starting to hate those things.
Regardless, we packed up again and headed out of Frankfurt. The drive to Blomberg was uneventful. I don't even remember what we did for lunch. That's how uneventful it was.
We got to Marion and Harry's house. It was great to see familiar faces again. Their house is beautiful, about 7 km out of Blomberg in the middle of farm country. While we helped get dinner on the table, Harry hunted for their wi-fi code, but could not find it. So our wi-fi blues in Germany continued.
After dinner, they escorted us to the house we'd be sleeping in for the next three nights. Harry owns a house in the middle of Blomberg. His mother lives in the ground level part. A lodger rents out part of the second level. And the upstairs apartment was for us. They've fixed it up nicely.
We drove through the old city gates
This was Alex's room (second floor)
We watched some German television till bedtime, a show called Offline, where a girl goes to a new place with no money and gets around using no technology. Fitting for us!
Sofia and Bella shared the "attic" bedroom
