Today we drove to the Heimat-Tierpark Olderdissen, also known as the zoo. It was near Bielefeld, about a 45-minute drive. Nice thing about this zoo...free!
It also had lots of cool animals and a super playground.
We had to come to Germany to finally see a Highland Coo (up close).

Bella found the scratching spot.

Bielefeld has an IKEA, so after a day of zoo, we took a stroll through IKEA an then ate dinner there (they had three sizes of meatball meal...Alex and I each got a large. 20 meatballs!) I didn't think the desserts looked as good as the IKEAs in the States. And they didn't have any lingonberry drink. What's up with that?!
We stopped at a big store on the way home to get the rubber gaskets for the glass jars that Cristina has from Germany. And we got a few groceries for Hamburg.
