After being here for a week, we finally tour Arhus

We caught a bus near the house to tour the central city of Arhus. The bus stop was cool. Protected from rain (not that there was any today) and you could easily hear each other.

The oldest street in Arhus

Aros, the art museum. Note the cool rainbow observation deck.

But first, the Arhus library. Another library to add to Sofia's collection.

On the walk to Aros, we passed this sculpture, which had been in an art competition held at the beach where we took Nelson for a walk on our first day here.

One of the main attractions at this museum is Boy by Australian artist Ron Mueck. The artwork is 15 meters tall, as you can tell in relation to the tourist at the bottom.

Kids can go into the museum for free, so to save money, we sent the kids up to the observation deck with the camera.

The whale-o-copter

This is the cathedral where Ida was baptized.

A pipe organist was practicing while we looked around the church, which gave the place great atmosphere.

I guess this is Alex's chair.

Paradis, which according to Jesper has the best ice cream in town.

The girls shared five scoops: banana-chocolate, hazelnut, chocolate, rodberry, and elderflower sorbet.

Alex and I saved our snack money for a hot dog. We got the frankfurter, which is bigger and fatter than a regular hot dog. It was excellent. Better than the one in Copenhagen, and I didn't think that was possible.

Sofia wanted a hot dog too, but by the time they returned from their thrift store, the hot dog stand had closed. So we got shawarma instead. It was a little too spicy for Sofia, but I liked it. It made my nose run.

Bella's Coke. I asked her if I was her homie and she said yes.

The guy has fish fins at the end of each leg. This town has lots of naked statues. Not a criticism.

Mette made homemade pizza for dinner, including crust from scratch. I've really gotta step up my game.
