It was a totally lazy day. There’s really nothing much to even report. We hung out at home. The kids cleaned their shells from the beach and set them out to properly dry. The only time we left the house was to drive up to Galerón to get a few groceries (a young couple there had two boa constrictors...see? Even on boring days there's still something interesting!)
Maritza gave the kids some toys that you put in water and they grow. Bella's and Alex's start out in eggs and then eventually hatch in about 24 hours. Bella was very excited.
BTW, Alex has taken to gelling his hair. Cool!
Jennifer Sheridan called to invite us to go to the Parque de Diversiones with them on Thursday. That’s Costa Rica’s one and only amusement park. We had never been, so we thought that sounded great. Bella was concerned that she'd miss her egg hatching. "Can I bring it with me?" she asked.
There was one other thing that happened today: we returned the car. The owner of the Blue Bomber, Miranda, came home. Wito said she was bringing a bunch of stuff back from the States, so we needed two cars to pick her and her daughter up from the airport. Because rush hour traffic is so bad going out of the city, I left around 6:15 with Maritza. Wito met us at the airport in his car.
Miranda’s plane landed around 7:20 and I finally met the woman whose car I’ve been driving for the past two weeks. We put her stuff in the Blue Bomber (it wasn’t as much as Wito thought…only about 4 suitcases) and I followed them to her house in Escazú. We unloaded her bags. She offered for us to keep the Blue Bomber for Thursday, but I figured parking it for two nights would probably cost more than having Chino drive us to the amusement park.
Back at home, the taco place was closed yet again. Wito was hungry from working all day, so he said we’d walk down the block to another taqueria. It was also closed. We tried a third place. Closed! Our search for tacos was a bust. Three nights in a row.
We ate some leftovers and went to bed.
