Don't Mess with Texas

Another 430 mile day, from Van Horn to San Antonio. This will be the longest day of driving that doesn't include more than one state. Texas is just cruel that way.

By the way, the general pattern so far has been that at the end of the day, when we're settled in our cabin, and the kids are in bed, I update the blog and post a few pictures. But I've already scheduled a blog to post each day, showing where we're driving that day. So if all you read is a short bit about what our route is that day, check back later and there will probably be more.

Is that a reference to Will Ferrel's impersonation on George Bush? :) Looks like you're clocking up some serious miles. Quite an adventure.

I didn't realise you could 'schedule' posts on your blog. Hmm. You must tell me how to do that.

Euro 2008 final on tonight. I'm in the first place in the office. Bet on Spain to win, but will probably be Germany - you know what those Germans are like.

Texas is a mess all right. Takes forever to get across it. Been there, done that several times. It's not so bad when you are on I-40 and just go across the panhandle... glad you got most of it behind you. Love, Mom
