I'm assuming it was a regional test thing that McDonald's tried. I'm pretty sure they never had anything like that in any town I lived in growing up.-Leo

Don't believe that ever made it to Florida, where we were living at that time.... your dad would have been ecstatic!... well for McDonald's anyway.

Gee, I'm really surprised that didn't take off :) I mean I like pineapple, and I like burgers, but I don't think I'd dig a pineapple burger...
I do wonder if a pineapple burger would be similar to a Hawaiian pizza. I like me some ham and pineapple on my pizza.
